Pod Zidom is an upmarket bistro with a focus on high quality fresh ingredients and organic wines. For many years Pod Zidom has been very popular among locals, but also internationally recognized and recommended by a prestigious Michelin Guide since 2019.
Location & History
Pod Zidom Bistro is located in the very heart of Zagreb in a peaceful and charming street Pod Zidom, a few steps away from Zagreb’s main square Trg bana Josipa Jelačića. It’s also within walking distance of Zagreb’s Cathedral and the oldest marketplace in the city – Dolac.
The location is both historic and modern, in the heart of the city, but not affected by the typical city rush. Pod Zidom Bistro will introduce you to all aspects of everyday life in Zagreb.
“Pod Zidom” is the name of an old historical street stretching along the left bank of Medvešćak stream. The street was built underneath the Kaptol wall and later named after it. In 1920 Kaptol was torn down and the market Dolac was built. Despite that, the street kept its unique name.

Our terrace is quite unique, overlooking the famous Zagreb Cathedral.
Menu
The menu depends on the available seasonal ingredients, which we buy daily at the nearby Dolac market and therefore support small local producers.
When creating our signature dishes, we use fresh and high-quality ingredients, and we present them in a unique and memorable way.
Wine list
Wines are our great passion. Pod Zidom wine list is undogmatic and showcases the diversity of terroirs, local varieties, and the philosophy of winemakers in Croatia and the region, with a focus on organic wines.
The selection of wine on our wine list is the product of tireless researching, discovering boutique wineries, and tasting new vintages. We always have some special and rare wines in our wine archive.
In exclusive cooperation with the renowned winemakers, we selected local varieties and created a special selection of Pod Zidom wines.

Pod Zidom team consists of experienced and dedicated individuals. Our common goal is, above all, to educate and spread the love for high-quality food and wine.
